Help bring the festival to life by volunteering your time and energy! As we celebrate our 52nd year, we’re looking for dedicated community members to help us share the joy of Japanese culture with thousands of attendees. Whether you’re behind the scenes or front and center, your support makes this event possible.

Volunteer Roles

We have a variety of roles available for all interests and abilities:

– Pre-Event Set up – Support festival staff with setting up chairs, tables, decor and signage.

– Marketplace Assistance – Assist vendors with moving merchandise to booths; set up trash/recycling boxes, put tablecloths on tables, etc.

– TSDBT Food Booth Runners – Support Temple staff by running/stocking food items from prep areas to the food booth

– General Runners – Run errands, replace signage, monitor site for clean up areas, fill in where needed, check in on the marketplace vendors

– Greeters – Welcome visitors, answer questions, provide directions, etc.

– Kids’ Craft Area – Help kids with crafts, replenish supplies (parents are required to stay with their children)

– Stage Assistance – Assist the stage manager with performer check in, set up stage, monitor green room

– Festival Clean Up & Tear Down – (must be able to lift 50lbs)  Assist with moving tables and chairs, taking down signage, helping vendors move items, etc.
